How very difficult it was to make a film about hearing difficulty whilst observing the decline in my own ability to hear and learning to accept it. This became my own very personal challenge and I hope the film benefitted from my ability to walk in the shoes of my protagonists.
If I have given you, the members of the viewing public, whatever your hearing status, an insight into our world, it will all have been worth it. For me and for everyone who took part in or worked on this film. To them, I am greatly indebted.
